RIVER MONSTERS SEASON 6 - ANIMAL PLANET

Filmed on location in Limon, Costa Rica

We loved the visual of Jeremy being swallowed up by the jungle as each successive tributary he paddled, grew smaller and smaller.  The only issue – doing large-scale production near the source of the Amazon - was logistically out of the question.  So, Mrs K put out the word to fixers and producers throughout the equatorial tropics.  The winner – Costa Rica, which has accessible small rivers, overgrown with jungle foliage – perfect for losing a small dugout in the vines and mist.
